He exhibits typical puppy behavior including jumping up, chewing and herding. He will need guidance on potty training. He doesn’t potty in his crate but if left unattended in the house, accidents happen. He is crate trained. Charlie spent the first four months of his life with little exposure to the outside and people. He has a hard time calming himself because he had no structure in his first 18 weeks. Charlie has had no exposure to cats or farm animals of any kind. Charlie weighs about 27lbs and is in the Bend Oregon area. Indi
Foster needed for Indi. Indi is a 3-year-old mixed breed, thought to be Border Collie/Heeler. She's spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Indi was picked up off the street by a local animal shelter. She was with a little dog friend who she was bonded to. Indi was the quiet one, and her friend had a big personality. Her friend was adopted without her, and she spent weeks at the shelter before being adopted. After being adopted, she was returned to the shelter after a week due to a change of circumstances and spent another week at the shelter before we rescued her. Her current family rescued her from the shelter. She was malnourished and depressed. Their intention was to foster her back to health and help find her a new home. She blossomed into a loyal, goofy, and playful dog. Since they’ve had her, she has gained a few pounds (and will continue to gain weight). Her weight was 41lbs Oct 3rd. She is timid and wary of strangers and will bark at them, but she warms up quickly. She is a sweet and sensitive dog, extremely intelligent and picks up on tricks and tasks quickly. She enjoys running, playing fetch, chewing on sticks, doing chores outside of the house, and does a great job of chasing deer out of the garden. Indi would love to have a job! A child free home is indicated as loud noises and children make her nervous. She seems uninterested in other dogs, and at times fearful of them. She will chase cats if they run but is actively learning to respect their boundaries. Indi is currently in the Portland OR area. Kumar
Meet Kumar.
Kumar is looking for his forever home. I have been fostering him for 6 months. He needs a very specific home and it has been hard to find. Kumar bonds really fast to his person and he has had 3 homes and lived in two shelters in his year of life. He does really well with one person. If there are more people in the house, he will continuously bark at the other people, even visitors. This will probably be something he will be able to work through, but at my house he is always overstimulated and not making as much progress as I would like to see. He needs someone that is going to commit to showing him how to more confidently go through life. He loves going on walks and off leash hikes. He has a very happy personality, but has a bad habit of jumping. He loves learning, but needs a lot of repetition. He is smart, but his fear overrides his ability to remember everything he learns. He is known to get car sick, but loves going on adventures. He really is a sweet boy and deserves a special person to call his own. Kumar is very playful with other dogs. Let me know if you are interested in meeting Kumar. Please email Hunahsurrenders@gmail.com if you are interested in fostering this sweet boy.

Sophie
Foster Alert! Beautiful Border Collie seeks a loving home!
Sophie is a 2-yr old Border Collie or English Shepherd. Sophie is loving, cute, funny, smart, travels well, is great in the car, is crate trained, and loves her fellow family dogs and humans. Sophie is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and weighs 42lbs. She wasn't socialized in her childhood, and is afraid of unknown humans and dogs, but if dogs are dog savvy, she warms up to them very fast. She warms up to dog savvy humans in a day or two, or much more quickly with treats! Sophie has had some leash training, and walking at a heel in urban environments with a training collar. She has gone camping in her foster's camper, and they've taken her to the beach to stay in a hotel; she was excellent. She is young and healthy, she is very fast, likes to play ball, and loves to hunt varmints in the pasture. She's just a really good dog, who we love, who needs to find a loving herding dog home, with no cats or chickens.
Sophie will need an experienced adopter who can accommodate her insecurities with new humans. Sophie is house trained, and crate trained. She is leash trained and travels very well in the car. She is extremely smart and loves to play catch with ball or stick. She has fear aggression toward unknown humans and dogs, and a very strong prey drive so a home without cats or chickens is a must. Sophie is located in the Eagle Creek area, about 25 minutes east of Portland. If you would like to adopt Sophie, please contact FLORA. flora.hunah@gmail.com If you are not an approved adopter, you can find an application here https://www.herduneededahome.com/foster-a-dog

Oreo
Foster Alert! Foster needed for Oreo. Oreo is a beautiful 2-year-old Blue Heeler who is full of love and energy. She thrives with plenty of exercise and attention, making her perfect for an active household. Oreo is great with kids; she is selective with dogs and cats. She’s crate and house trained and rides wonderfully in the car.
Oreo knows several commands including sit, stay, lay down, crate and bed. While she is generally good with other dogs, she has become protective of her own home when other dogs are around. However, she gets along with other dogs away from home.
She has decided the cat she lives with is only tolerable outside. Oreo is sweet and loves everybody she meets and does well indoors. She is spayed, vaccinated and currently in the Hermiston Oregon area.
Oreo needs a home that can provide her with the activity level she needs. If you are looking for a loyal and loving companion, Oreo could be exactly what you’re looking for. If you are interested in foster Oreo, and are an approved Hunah foster or adopter, please contact FLORA flora.hunah@gmail.com If you are not an approved adopter, you can find an application here https://www.herduneededahome.com/foster-a-dog

Moose is reported to be friendly toward strangers, okay with a cow, goats, chickens. He has no experience with children, cats or horses. This dog is currently having to spend a lot of time out on a chain with some off leash exercise, but it is not adequate for him. Jack
Foster needed for Jack. Jack is a working dog who is not interested in working cattle unless it suits him that day. He knows how but is not motivated to work. He is McNab / Border Collie mix, 6-years-old and about 40 lbs. Jack will need to be neutered, microchipped and brought up to date on vaccinations once he has a foster offer to help him. He is dog selective and prefers females. He can be protective of house and family and has a fear of loud noises. Jack has been raised with horses and cattle, loves kids, prefers to be fed alone. He knows “come, sit, Load-up” and when horseback riding will “come behind” to get behind your horse. He is crate trained but has not been trusted in the house alone. As a ranch dog, he spends his nights in a kennel outside. * Jack would be a great female’s horseback riding companion. He loves to go in the truck, is a cuddly guy and the happiest when he’s with his person. He is located in the Burns, OR area. If you are interested in fostering Jack, please reach out to Flora at flora.hunah@gmail.com If you are not an approved foster, please consider filling out an application, found on our webpage https://www.herduneededahome.com/

Suzy
Foster needed for Suzy. Suzy's current situation is not working for her, and with minimal exercise and guidance, she is becoming too much to manage for her owner. Suzy is 6 years old and has lived with the same family since she was a puppy. She is a mixed breed including Lab, Great Dane and Pyrenees. Suzy is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, house trained, and crate trained. She weighs 71 lbs.

Suzy is looking for an experienced home with someone who can train or retrain her on the basics and beyond. Retraining for habits that include excessive barking, digging, protective of house/family, jumping up, fear of loud noises (storms, guns, fireworks). She needs calming medication for a vet exam or nail clipping.
She is described as sweet dog to her people and would be awesome for someone that is home a lot during the day but will need training, which is a wonderful way to bond with a new dog. Suzy has not shown any reaction to horses or livestock but chases cats, so a cat free home is required. She has grown up with children but is overly protective of them so a home without children is recommended. Her owner reports she's always been great at dog parks, will run with the pack but no interest in fetch. Suzy is in the Redmond, OR area. If you are interested in fostering Suzy, please reach out to Flora at flora.hunah@gmail.com If you are not an approved foster, please consider filling out an application, found on our webpage https://www.herduneededahome.com/

Danna
Foster needed for Danna. Danna is a 4 1/2 year old Australian Shepherd, as pretty as they come. Her family is undergoing significant housing changes that will not allow her to remain with them. She is looking for a loving family that will include her in their indoor and outdoor activities and adventures. A cat free home is indicated as she chases cats and squirrels. She has been friendly toward children but will bark at strangers approaching the home. Danna will dig in the yard if left out alone; she’s very interested in food and is happy to supervise in the kitchen if allowed. She is house trained, crate trained and has a dislike for fireworks. Danna will need to be spayed, vaccinated and microchipped once a foster offers to help. Danna is in the Portland, OR area. If you are interested in fostering Danna, reach out to Flora at flora.hunah@gmail.com If you are not an approved foster, please consider filling out an application, found on our webpage https://www.herduneededahome.com/

Waylon
Foster needed for Waylon. Waylon is a 3 1/2-year-old lower-energy heeler who enjoys a relaxed lifestyle. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, house broken and crate trained. He weighs about 54 lbs. He loves calm walks where he can take in all the smells and prefers mental enrichment over high-energy play. Fetch isn’t really his thing, but treats and food definitely are—he’s very food motivated and eager to connect once he feels safe. Waylon thrives in a quiet, predictable environment and can become anxious when there’s too much activity, so an adult or older-kid home would suit him best. He’s affectionate and cuddly once he opens up and would do well with a yard where he can move around comfortably. Waylon gets along with other dogs but does get excited and will bark but no aggression towards them. He walks well on a leash as well but has been known to get excited and pull. Waylon is in the Tualatin OR area. If you are interested in fostering Waylon, please reach out to Flora at flora.hunah@gmail.com If you are not an approved foster, please consider filling out a foster application, found on our webpage https://www.herduneededahome.com/
