Adoption Coordinator - Rebecca
Rebecca retired in 2025 after a career as an engineering professor. Teaching humans and dogs has always been a passion. Rebecca has competed in dog agility since 2005. She loves dogs of many breeds, and has owned a boxer, a bullmastiff, and multiple Portuguese water dogs. Rebecca and her husband, Dave, currently have four herding-breed dogs: Ewok, a Hungarian pumi, and three border collies (Joule, Kepler, and Grace Hopper). Rebecca lives near Port Orchard, WA. Rebecca met Flora and Janis through agility and jumped at the opportunity to volunteer when she saw the call for an adoption coordinator.

Adoption Coordinator - Pam
Pam is retired and presently lives on Whidbey Island with her husband, three adopted dogs (Max, a border collie from HUNAH; Lucy, a herding mix; and Kayla, a mini Australian shepherd), her horse Montego, and three boarder horses. Pam fostered border collies for PNWBCR between 2007-2012 until she finally gave in and “failed” one, limiting herself to three dogs. Fostering was difficult at times but placing these wonderful dogs who, for no fault of their own, were homeless, in great forever homes was one the most rewarding and fulfilling tasks she had ever undertaken. When she saw the request for an adoption coordinator at HUNAH, she felt it would be a great opportunity to pick up where she left off in 2012.

Adoption Coordinator - Kristen
Kristen has a lifelong passion for herding dogs and horses. Between family life and showing horses, she dedicates her time to rescuing and placing dogs in loving forever homes with HUNAH.
